Getting tired of those old-fashioned wires? It’s time to cut the cord and invest in a pair of wireless headphones. There are tons of choices out there. It’s hard to figure out which one might be the best for you right? So, we’ve rounded up the best wireless headphones for running here.

We use customer reviews to make buying decisions everyday. Take Amazon as an example. There are hundreds of reviews for each product. While, we often are misguided by the top reviews with five-star ratings. For the sake of generating buzz for their products, manufacturers even buy fake endorsements. Recently, sites like Forbes and The Washington Post also made some comments on this. They pointed out most Amazon fake reviews appeared in some popular product categories, such as Bluetooth headphones and speakers. So, before starting to introduce the best running wireless headphones, we would like to share some quick tips to help you decide which ones to trust.

How to Spot Fake Reviews on Amazon?

Reviewmeta and FakeSpot are currently the most popular 2 sites to filter fake reviews. Reviewmeta is an independent site that helps customers get a better understanding about the reviews on Amazon and Bodybuilding.com. They help you to filter those unnatural reviews, like overly positive or negative. FakeSpot is an online fake review Amazon checker. They will weed out the reviews that they think are unreliable for you. All you do is input the product link, and you will get a score regarding the likelihood of fake reviews.

Except for by means of those tools, you still need to recognize reviews by yourself. After all, both sites are just giving you an overall rating of the trustworthy of reviews but not detailed. Speaking from experience, fake reviews are more likely to be longer than the average. It looks like a product brochure without any pictures or video posted. In addition, a review with overly negative words like ‘ridiculous’ or ‘waste of money’ may write by a rival. So, I would suggest you disregard the highest and lowest ratings. Go to the 3-star ratings, they will tell you fairly both the pros and cons of the item. Moreover, if the full product name is mentioned in a review many times, then it could also be a fake review.

If you have any other better ways to figure out fake reviews, don’t hesitate to share with other readers.

Michael D Clark: THE BEST AFFORDABLE BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES

“Grabbed these as a budget pair of Bluetooth headphones and I'M BLOWN AWAY! For around 20 dollars you cannot get a better deal on sound quality and battery life. Charge them once and you are good for at least a week, sometimes two with a stunning 24 hour battery. My only gripe would be I wish they were a little louder, however with this price, the quality far exceeded my expectation.”

PROS

1. Sound quality is good for this price range.

John Pantoja: I trust Anker battery products...

“With the OEM setup, the bass was decent. The song I listened to was primarily acoustical and I could hear the bass clear. It wasn't thumping like car audio but it was noticeable.”

2. Stays in place during runs.

Mark: Great earbuds for running

I bought these to listen to music and podcasts while running, and I am very pleased. They are secure and comfortable on long runs, the ear hooks are soft, and fit well even with sunglasses on. They seem to be well-sealed: so far I haven’t had any problems with sweat on hot and humid days or even in light rain.

CONS

1. Call quality is not that good for some.

Tomas L: Good for the price, great features, except for phone calls

“My only complain would be the sound call quality, I use them daily for phone calls and FaceTime video calls and every person tells me they can hear an irritating/annoying sound. That's odd considering these have Noise cancelling technology for clearer calls, I don't know if Anker tested this before launch.”

Tips: Headphone Fit
Basically, it can be divided into 4 types, over-ear, on-ear, in-ear, and earbuds. Over-ear headphones have earcups that surround your entire ears. It’s counted as the best headphones for sound quality and noise isolation. On-ear headphones are similar with over-ear headphones, but their ear cushions are designed to sit on the outer ears. They’re cheaper and slightly lighter than over-ear headphones. In-ear headphones and earbuds are often used in workout. In-ear fit snugly inside each ear canal, while earbuds are designed to rest on the outer part of the ear canal.

Headphone Fit: In-ear| Bluetooth Version: 4.1| Maximum Wireless Range: 33 feet | Weight: 0.53 ounces| CVC Noise Cancellation: Yes| Waterproof: IPX6| Built-In Microphone: Yes | Battery Life: 12.5 hours |  Charge time: 2 hours| Warranty: 12 months

Speaking of Bluetooth earbuds, we’re often worried that they often don’t get loud enough. To your surprise, this pair of earbuds stands out at this point. Moreover, unlike many earbuds that people can’t hear you clearly, this pair of earbuds has no problems in conversation. They block out noise well and sound clearly.

MeredithNCSU girl: Wow! Comfortable! Noise Cancelling! Great Sound!

“I’ve bought a few from either Best Buy or Amazon and was disappointed. Well I finally found what I was looking for. I honestly don't even know they are there in my ear! They are effortless to put in my ear, and best part of all, are snug and unmoving. The sound quality is pretty good. I can't remember if these were touted to have noise cancelling but I've had my music on at a regular volume level and have had 3 coworkers come by and start talking to me and I didn't hear a word they said (thank goodness... I hate nonsense LOL/jk).”

PROS

1. Speaker sound quality is great.

NAD: Great, especially for the price!

“This is the third pair of bluetooth headphones I have tried and my favorite so far. I am not an audiophile, but I do enjoy the sound clarity on these, both for music and conversations. The other headphones I've had were a pain to use during phone calls; every little background noise was amplified, so there were always complaints from those on the other line. So far, these headphones have not had this problem.”

2. Solid battery.

Linguini: Great portable speaker, Good Battery, Great Sound!

“Battery life is longer than advertised. I almost want to think the battery inside is larger than is stated but that just may depend on the type and volume you are listening to.”

CONS

1. Charging cable is too short.

OS: They're even better than I expected.

“The only cons are that I wish the USB charging cable were longer. The power strip where my phone’s charger is plugged in is a fair bit away from where I actually leave my phone to charge. The charging cable for these earbuds is so short that I would have laid them on the floor right next to the power strip. It should be as long as the USB cable that comes with my phone.”

MAJ34: Great sound, mic not so thought out.

“These are a bass quality set. The sound, to me, is very good, as I like more bass and treble more than the high tones. These are so comfortable, that wearing them around all day is no problem. The cord does not get tangled and is comfortable wearing in front or in the back. You can charge these in less than two hours and when you wear them, it will notify you when the charge gets low. Easy to pair with my iPhone. Have not been able to run the battery down on one day, as of yet. If you leave the headphones to charge overnight, I seem to get more "on time" that I do if I charge for a couple of hours. I have left the headphones sit for two days and they have read at 70%, which is after maybe an hour use. I will say that after leaving the headphones sit and then using them that they seem to lose a charge quicker. The only reason I gave these headphones a 4 star instead of five is the mic. It is up on the inside of the right ear bud, which blocks sound, thus making it harder for people to hear me. They all tell me it sounds like I am talking from way far away and that I sound like I talk in a high voice (which I don’t at all). For the money, well worth the sound and ability to pick up all around the house. I will purchase them again, if I don't find a pair with the same sound and better mic.

PROS

1. Stay in ears comfortable while running.

Sarah Woods: My new favorite gym buddy!

“These work great! Great price and they arrived quickly. I'm not a professional in the music industry, but the sound quality seems great to me. Also, they stay in my ears comfortably when I run at the gym, which is what I got them for. They connected to my phone via Bluetooth easily. They also came with a little charging cord, instructions, and a cute round hard case to keep them in. Battery life seems good so far. I can go multiple workouts in a row and not have to recharge. I would order these again or recommend them to anyone.”

2. Impressive Bluetooth Range.

Kyle Minor: An Impressive Set of Headphones

“The thing I was most impressed with was the Bluetooth range. I live in an approximately 2200 sq. ft. house, and I can just leave my phone in the living room, which is close to the middle of the house, and walk around anywhere while my phone is on the charger and still enjoy my music. This even includes the back yard. These headphones also work well with each of my smart watches, whereas other headphones tend to lose connection with my smart watches.”

CONS

1. Not so much for calls.

Amazon Customer: Great earbuds, especially for the price

“The mic appears lack luster. I took a few phone calls, and although people could hear me, they said it sounded like I was far away. I didn't buy them with any expectation of using them for that, but I probably would have gone 5 stars had that worked seamlessly.”

Senso Bluetooth Headphones is an Amazon Choice for running headphones. They look pretty much identical with Beats. They are excellent for active use, sweat really won’t bother them, and some even wear them in the shower at the gym. Besides, they secure well even for small ears. There is no worries for them to fall out even you are running.

Samantha: Awesome Buy!

“For $40 I think they are pretty high quality. My husband has the Beats version and he said they look pretty much identical. The sound quality is pretty good. I like that I can talk on the phone using them. I have small ears so it was a concern for me that they would fall off. I went to the gym and tested them out and they worked out great. I have worn them around the house for 3 hours at a time and they didn't cause any pain or soreness. Score! I purchased the extended warranty to go along with them too. My husband is considering buying a pair too. Awesome buy!”

PROS

1. Perfect for running.

FatherOf4: Wish I bought these before trying 3 other pairs.

“The headphones fit comfortably and the sound is great. The cord doesn't cause any issues while running where others I've had create a bounce effect when running. The headphones pair quickly EVERY time, which seems like no big deal except none of my last 3 pair paired so easily, it was always a hassle. They feel very light and you forget you are running with them.”

2. They keep going even when wet.

B.Staples: Great, inexpensive Beats alternative

“These are very much water resistant. Because I work outside in the rain, I wanted something that would hold up to some water (though I wear rain gear). I do get quite damp, especially when the rain is heavy. I have not even noticed these being affected by water.”

CONS

1. Battery life is ok.

Amazon Customer: LOVE MY BUY!!!

“Battery life is ok. I say that it's ok because I would have to charge my battery after one of my workouts. I could be at the gym for up to 3 hours. With this battery I would not be able to go back to the gym the very next day and complete a new workout without it going dead. I do like that it gives you enough warnings that the battery is about to die. It only died on my once but it only takes me one time to learn a lesson, so I always charge it before I go back to the gym.”

What’s in the Box
